TPS DENGAN KARTU BERHURUF JAWA DAN GAME QUIZIZZ, TINGKATKAN MINAT PESERTA DIDIK BELAJAR AKSARA JAWA.

Bahasa Jawa merupakan salah satu mata pelajaran yang ada di SMA N 2 Sragen sebagai materi muatan lokal. Dalam penerapnnya di kelas XI, mata pelajaran bahasa Jawa juga mempelajari tentang aksara Jawa. Terdapat dua keterampilan yang harus dicapai dalam materi aksara Jawa, yaitu keterampilan membaca dan menulis. Walaupun peserta didik pernah mempelajari aksara Jawa sejak Sekolah Dasar, namun dalam penerapan aturan (paugeran) masih banyak mengalami kendala. Sebagai contoh evaluasi di kelas XI MIPA 1 SMA Negeri 2 Sragen, dari 36 peserta didik yang dapat merubah aksara Latin ke aksara Jawa sesuai dengan kaidah hanya 33% (12 peserta didik), selain itu, pemahaman peserta didik masih kurang. Pemahaman peserta didik mengenai aksara Jawa bisa dilakukan dengan membaca, menghafal bentuk huruf Jawa, kaidah penulisannya dan berlatih soal-soal yang sudah disediakan guru.

Ada beberapa model pembelajaran untuk meningkatkan minat peserta didik belajar aksara Jawa. Salah satunya yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran diskusi teman sebangku, yang dikolaborasikan dengan media kartu berhuruf Jawa dan game quizizz. Peserta didik diajak untuk mengenal huruf Jawa menggunakan kartu yang menarik. Sedangkan game quizizz digunakan untuk mengerjakan soal-soal sederhana berkaitan dengan aksara Jawa yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan minat belajar peserta didik. Setelah itu peserta didik berdiskusi dengan teman sebangku untuk memahami aturan (paugeran) penulisan aksara Jawa.

Model Pembelajaran TPS (Think Pair and Share) adalah berpikir berpasangan. Model TPS merupakan suatu cara yang efektif untuk menyuguhkan variasi diskusi kelas. Model tersebut dirancang agar siswa terlatih dalam berkomunikasi mengungkapkan ide yang dimiliki selama proses pembelajaran, baik kepada guru maupun temannya (Badar, 2015:129). Model Pembelajaran TPS memiliki tahapan 1. Thinking (Berpikir), Guru mengajukan pertanyaan yang berhubungan dengan pelajaran, kemudian siswa beberapa saat diminta secara mandiri memikirkan pertanyaan tersebut 2. Pairing (Berpasangan), Guru meminta siswa berpasangan dengan siswa lain untuk mendiskusikan pertanyaan yang telah diberikan oleh guru 3. Sharing (Berbagi), Guru meminta pasangan untuk berbagi kedepan kelas untuk melaporkan hasil kerjanya (Muthoharoh, 2017:5).

Penulis mencoba menerapkan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share yang dikolaborasikan dengan media kartu berhuruf Jawa dan game quizizz pada materi aksara Jawa. Penerapan model tersebut, bisa membuat peserta didik lebih memahami kaidah penulisan aksara Jawa dengan berdiskusi bersama teman sebangku dan memaparkan hasil diskusi di depan kelas. Pemahaman peserta didik terhadap materi aksara Jawa ternyata meningkat setelah menggunakan model TPS. Penerapan media kartu berhuruf Jawa dan game quizizz menjadikan pembelajaran semakin menarik, sehingga meningkatkan minat peserta didik dalam belajar aksara Jawa. Hal tersebut terbukti setelah peserta didik dalam merubah aksara Latin ke aksara Jawa mengalami peningkatan yang signifikan dalam menyesuaikan kaidah aksara Jawa, yang semula hanya 33% (12 peserta didik), bisa meningkat mencapai 88% (30 peserta didik) dari jumlah total 36 peserta didik.

Jadi dalam penggunaan model pembelajaran Think Pair and Share yang dikolaborasikan dengan media kartu berhuruf Jawa dan game quizizz dapat meningkatkan minat peserta didik dalam belajar aksara Jawa, sehingga anak dapat menulis akasara Jawa sesuai dengan kaidah.
